國小四~六年級實施水庫優養化環境教育可行性之評估-以壽天國小為例

  • 描述: 水庫優養化在台灣是一件不容忽視的環境問題,水庫優養化環境教育的實施刻不容緩,然而目前台灣水庫優養化環境教育的實施在國中只有片段的內容,國小部分闕如,水庫優養化環境教育的實施可以從國小教育起,本研究根據九年一貫環境教育能力指標設計一份教材,對國小四、五、六年級學童分成實驗組與對照組,並施以前、後測,目的為探討其教學成效,評估在國小實施水庫優養化環境教育的可行性與適合性。 本研究結果顯示,在個人基本資料方面,受試學童的知識前測與觀看科學知識節目頻率、閱讀科學書籍頻率、自然與生活科技與藝術與人文成顯著正相關,與社會領域為顯著負相關;態度前測與過去一年是否有參觀優養化有關展覽成顯著正相關,與國語、班級和收聽收音機廣播成顯著負相關。實驗組與對照組學童在教學活動實施前,水庫優養化認知與保育態度現況,實驗組與對照組學童水庫優養化知識概念前測平均數沒有差異;水庫保育態度方面前測平均數沒有差異。 四、五、六年級學童水庫優養化知識前測與水庫保育態度前測平均數差異顯著;知識前測四年級知識前測優於五年級,六年級明顯優於五年級;態度前測四年級優於五年級。 在「水庫優養化知多少?」簡報教學活動和體驗活動對國小四、五、六年級學童學習水庫水質優養化的知識、和保育態度的教學成效,實驗組學童的知識後測結果優於前測,態度後測得分亦高於前測;對照組學童在知識前後測平均數及保育態度前後測平均數差異皆不顯著。 在排除前測分數的影響後,於教學活動後,四、五、六年級在水庫優養化知識概念得分有顯著差異,實驗組優於對照組;換句話說排除前測影響後,實驗組學童在水庫優養化知識面向的後測得分顯著優於對照組學童;實驗組學童利用成對樣本t檢定得到態度後測表現較前測更積極。四、五、六年級實驗組知識後測排除前測影響進行共變數分析,結果不顯著,表示排除前測影響,四、五、六年級實驗組知識後測平均沒有顯著差異,顯示水庫優養化環境教育在哪一個年級實施都無差異。實驗組學童前後測分數差異與個人背景變項的相關性顯示,實驗組學童知識前後測差異與最喜歡的學科中之數學達顯著正相關,數學表現優異的學童,知識前後測差異大;態度前後測得分差異與平日是否有環保的習慣成顯著負相關,平日有做環保習慣的學童,態度前後測得分差異小。 由研究結果顯示,在教學活動介入後,實驗組學童在知識和態度都有進步,教學活動中的優養化指標、點污染源和非點污染源是學生學習感覺較困難的地方優養化的定義、成因、種類影響和預防方法是學生可以接受的內容,所以在國小四~六年級實施水庫優養化環境教育是可行的。
    Reservoir eutrophication problem is hardly ignored in Taiwan. Even though the importance of reservoir eutrophication environment education cannot be overemphasized now, the curriculum of reservoir eutrophication is instructed fragmentally in junior high school, and rarely in elementary school in Taiwan.In fact, the reservoir eutrophication environment education should be learned by the elementary school students. According to Grade 1-9 Curriculum Capability Indicators of Environmental Education, the researcher designed a teaching material for 4th, 5th and 6th graders in elementary school.Pretest and post-test were applied for exploring the teaching effectiveness and evaluating the feasibility and applicability of reservoir eutrophication environment education in elementary school.The result of this research indicated that there was a significant correlation between students’environmental knowledge scores in the pretest and their frequencies in watching science TV programs and reading science books.Besides,there was a positive correlation existing between the scores and their learning achievements in the fields of Science & Living Technology, and Art & Humanities. However, their pretest scores had a negative correlation between their learning achievements in the field of Social Study. As to another pretest about their attitudes toward environments, there was a positive correlation between the scores and their experiences in visiting some eutrophication exhibitions over the last year. However, the scores had a negative correlation with the class and their listening to the radio. Before the teaching activities were applied, the difference of pretest score between experimental group and controlled group in reservoir eutrophication knowledge was not significant.Neither were their attitudes toward reservoir ecological preservation.After eliminating the influence of the pretest score, the experimental group and controlled group had significant differences.In other words, the post-test scores of experimental group were significant better than controlled group in knowledge of reservoir eutrophication, and the experimental group scored better in the post-test than in the pretest.According to the relationship between the two test scores’ difference and personal background variables of the experimental group, the difference in knowledge had significant correlation with their favorite subjects. Students, who had good achievements in math, had significant difference between these two tests. In attitudes, there was a negative correlation between the differences of the tests and students’ ecological preservation concepts carried out in their daily life.The result of the research indicated that experimental group’s performance in knowledge and attitudes was significantly progressive, which showed that implementing reservoir eutrophication environmental education in the 4th, 5th and 6th grade curriculum was feasible.
