  • 描述: 本研究旨在探討以自我改變為主題的圖畫故事書中,如何呈現故事主角在故事前後所經歷的自我轉變歷程。並針對各種影響改變的相關因素進行統整的分析,以歸納出圖畫故事書中故事主角自我改變過程的模式和脈絡。本論文採用的是質性研究。研究者即為研究工具。研究方法以描述性的方式進行文本意義的詮釋和分析,並同時加上簡單的量化數據輔佐研究的發現。立意取樣後的圖畫故事書文本包含中英文版本共有三十六本。研究的結果發現:一、圖畫故事書的故事主角以具有人類性格的動物最多,其次為人類,然後是擬人的無生物角色。大部份的故事主角共同特質是年紀小,體型小,身份地位低下,在群體中位居劣勢。他們不是想要改變,就是需要改變,或者是想要阻止改變。二、故事主角面對的衝突來源有身體意象,人際互動,能力,習性,命名,居住環境和價值觀。衝突的原因/事件來自於得到負面的評價,負面的自我評價,人際衝突,人際孤獨,拒絕改變,對居住環境的負面評價,自我概念模糊,看見他人改變,以及失去身邊的親人。故事主角衝突的對象為個人、他人和環境。故事主角面對衝突的反應皆是產生負面的情緒。衝突的危機來自於故事主角否定自我,真實的自我和理想的自我不一致,無法脫離自己的困境,欠缺自覺和反省的能力,否定自己的居住環境,缺乏明確的自我概念,以及因為價值觀偏差而鑄下大錯。三、故事主角解決衝突的策略為採取行動,逃避或是被動。四、影響故事主角改變的轉折點為介入的支持者、攻擊者、資源、意外的事件、以及自發的想像。五、除了1本圖畫故事書主角沒有得到明確的自我概念,屬於開放式的結局呈現之外,其餘故事結局的表現手法為呈現圓滿,肯定,具正面意義的封閉式結局。他們肯定自我,重新認識自我,獲得友誼,肯定自己的居住環境,以及改正自己的缺點。此外主角接受自我、肯定自我、改變自我的因素有:1.得到他人的肯定,2.改變他人的看法,3.重新認識了自己,和4.失而復得的經歷。六、故事主角自我改變分三個階段,第一是不自覺且無能力改變的階段,第二是有自覺但無能力改變的階段,第三是有自覺且有能力改變的階段。另外,研究的幾點發現有:1.外在的改變不如內心的轉變,2.「自尊的需求」以及「愛和隸屬的需求」為主角所欠缺的需求,3.故事主角自我實現的傾向,以及4.從教育的觀點和5.從作者的動機來看文本的意涵。最後,針對本篇研究,未來研究,以及對父母及教育工作者提出幾點建議。
    The purpose of this study is to find out the main characters’ self-changing process in the picture storybooks, and the factors that influence the main characters’ self-changing results, in order to form a pattern that describes the self-changing process.This is a qualitative research. I use my own descriptive words to analyze the contexts, in addition with some simple counting to assist the finding. There are thirty-six picture storybooks in this study, including both Chinese and English versions.The results are as follow: 1. The main characters in the picture storybooks are mostly animals with human characteristics, human being the second and non-living creatures the third. Most main characters are young, small, low in status, and inferior to others. They either want to change, need to change, or reject to change. 2. The sources of conflict that the main characters face are their body images, interpersonal relationships, abilities, personality traits, naming, living environments, and the sense of value. The reasons of conflict or conflicting events include getting negative evaluation from others, negative evaluation toward self and the environment, interpersonal conflict and isolation, refusing to change, uncertainty of one’s self-concept, seeing others change, and loosing the dearest person in one’s life. The conflict is toward self, others, and the environment. Every character has negative emotions when facing the conflict. The crisis of conflict is self-denying, unbalanced real and ideal self, not being able to get rid of one’s suffering, lacking the ability of self-reflection, denying the living environment, lacking clear self-concept, and making a huge mistake because of the incorrect sense of value. 3. The main characters use three kinds of strategies to deal with the conflict. They either face it, hiding from it, or just being passive. 4. The turning points for changing are supporters, attackers, resources, accidental events, and the main character’s own imagination. 5. Except for one picture storybook that does not have conclusive ending, the rest have happy, positive and conclusive ending. The reasons for the main characters to accept themselves, agree with themselves, and change themselves are getting others’ approval, changing others’ view toward themselves, understanding more about themselves, and having the experience of losing and regaining. 6. There are three self-changing stages: first, unaware and unable to change; second, aware but unable to change; third, aware and able to change. Other findings are as follow: Change is from within. The main characters need self-esteem, and love and belonging. The main characters tend to fulfill themselves. I finally state the educational point of view and the author’s motives.Last, I give my suggestions to this research, future researches, and to parents and educators.
