外籍配偶幼兒的家庭閱讀環境與語文能力之相關研究

  • 描述: 本研究旨在探討外籍配偶幼兒與本國籍配偶幼兒在家庭閱讀環境與語文能力上的現況與差異、外籍配偶幼兒的不同背景變項在家庭閱讀環境與語文能力上的差異情形,以及外籍配偶幼兒的家庭閱讀環境與語文能力之關係。研究對象為43對就讀台南市幼稚園或托兒所的外籍配偶幼兒與本國籍配偶幼兒。首先請這43對外籍配偶幼兒與本國籍配偶幼兒父母親填寫家庭閱讀環境問卷,其次研究者與幼兒進行一對一的學前兒童語言障礙量表測驗,以了解幼兒的口語能力,再則請該班級老師根據平日的觀察填寫學前兒童讀寫能力評定量表,以了解幼兒的讀寫能力。最後將所得資料以描述統計、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析和皮爾遜積差相關進行分析。 研究結果顯示:一、外籍配偶幼兒與本國籍配偶幼兒在家庭閱讀環境上呈現中下品質,不過外籍配偶幼兒比本國籍配偶幼兒更顯著的不足。二、外籍配偶幼兒與本國籍配偶幼兒的語文能力屬中上程度,不過就語文能力整體表現而言,外籍配偶幼兒明顯低於本國籍配偶幼兒。三、外籍配偶幼兒不同的性別在家庭閱讀環境上無顯著差異,而外籍配偶幼兒的父親不同的教育程度、外籍配偶不同的國語溝通能力、外籍配偶不同的國語識字能力在家庭閱讀環境上有顯著差異。四、外籍配偶幼兒不同的性別、外籍配偶幼兒的父親不同的教育程度、外籍配偶不同的國語溝通能力、外籍配偶不同的國語識字能力在幼兒語文能力上無顯著差異。五、整體而言,外籍配偶幼兒的家庭閱讀環境與幼兒口語能力有正顯著相關,但與幼兒讀寫能力無顯著相關。最後依據研究結果提出建議讓家長、學校教師、政府與相關教育單位以及未來研究作參考。
    The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the immigrant mothers’ home literacy environment and their children’s language abilities. Differences in home literacy environment and children’s language abilities between two groups were compared. Also, this study surveyed background information on immigrant mothers’ children and explored variables that caused differences in their home literacy environment and language abilities.This research included 43 pairs of immigrant mothers’and native mothers’ children, who were studying in kindergartens or nursery schools in Tainan. Firstly, these children’ parents were invited to fill out the home literacy environment questionnaires. Secondly, the researcher examined each child one on one orally the“Language Disorders Scale for Preschoolers”test. Thirdly, children’s teachers were invited to fill out“The Emergent Literacy Scale for Preschoolers”, by observing their every day work, in order to understand children’s emergent literacy. The results were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation.The detailed results of this study were as follow:First, the subject’s home literacy environment was below the average, immigrant mothers’ children were worse than native mothers’ children. Second, their language abilities were above the average, but immigrant mothers’ children were worse than native mothers’ children. Third, immigrant mothers’ children in different genders showed no obvious differences in home literacy environment. Father’ different educational levels, immigrant mothers’ different Chinese communicating abilities, or different Chinese literacy had great diversity in their home literacy environment. Fourth, immigrant mothers’ children with various backgrounds showed no apparent differences in their language abilities. Fifth, home literacy environment of immigrant mothers’ children was proportionately related to their children’s oral language, but didn’t relate to their emergent literacy.Finally, the results of this research can be provided as a reference for parents, school teachers, governmental organizations, educational organizations, and future researches, as well.
