描述: 　　本論文以府城五條港為研究區域，進行五條港地方傳說之研究，藉以保存日漸消失佚散的民間文學材料，進而探討五條港地方傳說所呈現出的特色與內涵。五條港地方傳說的特色：一、發揮民間宗教信仰之影響；二、呈現地方歷史人文之演進；三、反映地方自然環境之變遷；四、描繪地方庶民生活之風貌。五條港地方傳說的內涵有三：一為教育內涵，提供人們知識傳遞與道德教化之管道；二為經濟內涵，可結合觀光休閒活動，搭配媒體多元行銷，提升五條港地區經濟效能；三為文化內涵，藉由地方傳說以保存在地文化。　　本研究總共分為六章：第壹章為緒論，說明本論文的研究動機與目的、研究範圍、相關文獻探討、研究方法；第貳章為府城五條港自然環境與歷史人文之介紹；第參章至第肆章為府城五條港地方傳說之整理，分為廟宇傳說、神明傳說、人物傳說、史事傳說、地理傳說、地名傳說、習俗傳說、物產傳說等八個部分；第伍章探討府城五條港地方傳說的特色與內涵；第陸章結論，總結各章重點。
This thesis is based on Wutiaogang, Tainan City to research into the local legends of Wutiaogang. It uses the gradually disappearing local literature materials preserved to research into the characteristics and signification presented by the local legend of Wutiaogang. The characteristics of the local legends of Wutiaogang : 1. Exerting the influence of local religion ; 2. Presenting the evolution of local history and humanities ; 3. Reflecting the changes of local natural environment ; 4. Depicting the local people’s life. There are three significations of the local legends of Wutiaogang : 1. The educational signification offers people the access to conveying knowledge and moralization ; 2. The economic signification combines with tourism and leisure activities, matches multi-media marketing, and improves the economic efficiency of Wutiaogang area ; 3. The cultural signification preserves the local culture through the local legends. This research is divided into six chapters. Chapter Ⅰ is introduction, which explains the study motive and purpose, the study scopes, relevant documents discussion, and the study method. Chapter Ⅱ introduces the natural environment and historical humanities of Wutiaogang, Tainan City. Chapter Ⅲ and Chapter Ⅳ sort the local legends of Wutiaogang, Tainan City, including eight divisions of legends : temples, gods, characters, history, geography, place names, customs, and properties. Chapter Ⅴ discusses the characteristics and significations of local legends of Wutiaogang, Tainan City. Chapter Ⅵ is conclusion, which summarizes the key points of each chapter.
