  • Description: 本研究的目的在瞭解並分析國小高年級學童,如何獲得基因改造食品的相關資訊、對此類產品的觀念及瞭解狀況、以及探討標示與否對於兒童購買行為之影響。研究初期以台南市海東國小高年級學生為對象,選取四班,做為初步問卷調查,調查學對基因改造食品的看法和觀念。最後,研究者以自編的「國小高年級學童對基因改造食品的認知與態度研究之調查問卷」,以台南市與高雄縣之六年級為研究對象,共430份問卷來分析。資料分析採用描述性統計、t考驗和單因子變異數分析和積差相關等統計方法。分析學童對基因改造食品的認知與態度的差異情形。亦請43位老師填寫問卷,請他們針對問卷的內容發表意見和看法,多數老師贊成列入小學的課程來教學。此外,也希望藉由學童對基因食品的認識,可發展出一套「基因改造食品」的模組教學,從學生的討論發表和實驗,澄清各種對於基因的觀念,使科學能往下扎根。學生對於議題的討論,更可以做出價值判斷,在面對其本身的消費時能自由的選擇。希望國小老師能運用其創造思考教學法,使學生能了解陌生、抽象和難以理解的基因和基因改造食品等相關課程和議題。 本研究的主要結論如下:一、國小高年級學生對基因改造食品的訊息管道的來源是以電視為主,其次為老師、親友、書籍雜誌、報紙和網際網路。二、國小學生認為可由基因改造作物製成的食品依序為玉米粒罐頭(62.3﹪)、黃豆沙拉油(52.4﹪)和洋芋片(41.8﹪)。三、在購買基因改造食品時,兒童對於食品本身的安全性非常重視。四、國小高年級學生對基因改造食品的認知與態度的t考驗,在縣市、性別及吃素的變項方面並無顯著差異存在。只有是否聽過基因改造食品的變項,有顯著的差異。五、國小高年級學生對基因改造食品的認知與態度的單因子獨立樣本的差異分析,在各行政區間和母親教育程度的變項,皆有顯著的差異存在。六、國小高年級學生對基因改造食品的認知與態度的單因子獨立樣本的差異分析,在父親教育程度、父親職業、母親職業及學校區域的變項,皆未達顯著的差異存在。七、在國小高年級學童對基因改造食品的認知與態度的相關程度中,可發現各個量表之間彼此之間有相關。尤其,在總量表和基本看法的相關程度,已達r=.664的高相關。
    The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze Grade Five and Six pupil’s information, concepts, understanding, recognition, and discussion concerning gene modified food and products of the same kind as well as the impact on their own purchasing behavior. At initial stage of research, pupils from Class Four of Hai-tung Primary School in Tainan were selected to be research targets. They were asked to fill in a concept and idea of the questionnaire about gene-modified food. Finally, the researcher made a “questionnaire for research on Grade Five and Six pupil’s recognition and attitude towards gene modified food” with grade-six pupils in Kaohsiung and Tainan as research targets. 430 valid questionnaires were taken back totally. Using descriptive statistic, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and product-moment correlation analysis, the researcher analyzed the variance of pupil’s recognition and attitude towards gene modified food. 43 teachers and 60 student’s parents were invited to fill in a questionnaire and were asked to give their opinions and suggestions. A majority of teachers and parents approved that GMO should be listed as one of subjects in primary school. Hope that a series of gene modified food models can be developed and used for teaching on the basis of pupil’s awareness on gene food so as to clarify all sorts of concepts according to pupil’s discussion and practice. Pupils can also make a value judgment upon discussion and select their own foods freely. Hope teachers in primary school can help pupils to understand subjects concerning unknown, abstract and unbelievable gene food and gene modified food. Conclusions of this research are as below: 1. Grade Five and Six pupil’s gene modified food information sources include TV, teacher, relative and friend, book and magazine, newspaper and network. 2. Pupils think such foods can be made of gene-modified corps as canned corn (62.3%), soybean salad oil (52.4%), and potato crisps (41.8%). 3. Pupils pay much attention to food safety when purchasing foods. 4. According to T-test on Grade Five and Six pupil’s recognition and attitude towards gene-modified food, no significant difference exists in terms of county and city, gender and vegetarian. 5. According to one-way ANOVA on Grade Five and Six pupil’s recognition and attitude towards gene-modified food, obvious difference exists among administrative regions, grades, and mother education level. 6. According to one-way ANOVA, no obvious difference exists in terms of farther education level, father’s profession, mother’s profession, and school location. 7. According to product-moment correlation analysis on Grade Five and Six pupil’s recognition and attitude towards gene-modified food, it is found that parameters are in connection with each other. Especially, correlation degree between parameter sheet and basic opinion reached r= 0.664.
