  • 描述: 台灣地區目前各都市、各鄉鎮之污水下水道系統並未普及,大多數社區的生活污水皆直接經由排水系統排入河川,對河川污染有相當程度影響。為有效減輕生活污水對於河川造成的污染,在污水下水道建設尚未完成之前,該如何處理社區生活污水,為一待處理課題。而自然淨化系統雖有節省能源的優點,但其效率不高,且礙於土地成本以及操作管理等問題,最後往往失去當初建設時預期的功效。 曝氣水生植物系統為一項可以有效改善生活污水處理效率之生態取向的淨水技術,相較於污水下水道,此一技術之設備及維護成本皆較低廉、設置所需工期也比較短,最重要的是操作管理容易,與人工溼地相比,也沒有土地成本的問題,適合運用於小型社區之生活污水處理。 本計畫於台南縣七股鄉篤加社區設立模廠規模之曝氣水生植物系統,並使用蚵殼作為接觸濾材。透過採樣分析,了解系統對與生活污水的污染處理效率。研究結果顯示,使用蚵殼作為接觸濾材對於污水具有不錯的處理效率,在水力停留時間為10小時的條件下,系統對各污染物的平均去除效率為生化需氧量88%、氨氮74%、總氮64%、總凱氏氮73%、總磷19%,處理效果均優人工濕地。 使用蚵殼介質的接觸曝氣系統有非常高的處理效率,且蚵殼價錢低廉且易於取得,有利於本系統的推廣與運用,本研究之模廠試驗確立此一系統之操作參數,系統規模可以擴充實際運用於小型社區的生活污水處理。
    Although centralized sanitary sewer systems are commonly used for the management of domestic wastewater in cities and large communities, there is a growing popularity of small, decentralized wastewater treatment systems due to their ease of construction and operation. This type of system is particularly suitable for small communities where a centralized system will be costly due to the need of extensive collection systems. In this study, an aerated aquatic plant system is used for the treatment of wastewater from a community of approximately 200 residents. Oyster shells are used as medium for this contact aeration type of system. Water hyacinth was planted originally and later switched to hardy emergent plants such as reeds and cattails. The results of this study indicate that this system is highly effective in handling domestic wastewater. The use of oyster shells as filter medium provided high density of microorganisms which result in a rapid decomposition of organic maters. At a hydraulic residence time (HRT) of 10 hours, removal efficiencies were 88% for biochemical oxygen demand, 74% for nitrogen, 64% for total nitrogen, 73% for total Kjeldahl nitrogen, and 19% for total phosphorous. The system has an efficiency comparable to a traditional activated sludge system with the advantage of simplicity and ease of operation. It also has smaller footprint and much higher efficiency than constructed wetlands. The system is highly suitable for application in the management of wastewater for communities in rural areas of Taiwan.
