  • 描述: 本研究旨在探討英語視覺字彙融入正規英語課堂中對國小高年級學生英語學習動機與英語學習成效之影響。本研究以臺南市新營區某國小六年級共44位學生為研究對象,實驗組為23人,控制組為21人。實驗組接受英語視覺字彙融入課堂之教學課程,控制組則無接受任何英語視覺字彙課程,實驗共進行十週,每週兩次每次20分鐘,共計400分鐘。 本研究於實驗前後分別以「英語學習動機量表」及「英語視覺字彙測驗」對實驗組與控制組學生進行施測。實驗組則另於實驗教學後輔以「英語視覺字彙課後回饋單」。所得資料以描述性統計及共變數分析進行量化分析,並針對課後回饋單進行質性資料分析,藉以輔助量化資料不足之處。歸納本研究結果,可得以下三點結論: 一、視覺字彙課程未能顯著提升國小高年級學生英語學習動機 二、視覺字彙課程未能顯著提升國小高年級學生英語學習成效 三、國小高年級學生對英語視覺字彙教學抱持正面看法,於正規課堂實施視覺字彙 教學具有可行性 最後,根據研究結論提出相關建議,以作為對英語教學者、英語學習者、學校行政單位及未來相關主題研究者提出後續研究之建議。.
    The purpose of this study was to examine if sight word instruction could improve English learning motivation and English learning efficiency for sixth grader in the local primary school in Taiwan. A quasi-experimental design was adopted. Two classes, in total 44 sixth-graders in Tainan county was participated in the study. One of the class, the experimental group, was accepted the sight word teaching in the Enligh class, the other one, the control group, had the regular English class as usual. The teaching experiment lasted for 10 weeks with 40 minutes teaching hours per week. Two classes were given “the English learning motivation scale” and “Sight word comprehension test” before and after the experiment. Those quantitative datas were analyzed by ANCOVA. Qualitative data was used to analyze the feedback questionnaire from the experimental group after the sight word lesssons. Results and conculsions of the research were inducted as follows: 1.There was no significant difference on English learning motivation in two groups. 2.There was no significant difference on English learning efficiency in two groups. 3.Sight word lessons can be the possible teaching program for the regular English class. Finally, based on the results of study, suggestions were made to serve as a reference for teachers, learners, schools and instructors in their further teaching and related research..
