    This study aims to explore the effectiveness and retention of the use of group cooperative learning in the field of sixth grade mathematics in elementary schools. By using Quasi-experimental research method, two classes in the sixth grade of an elementary school are used as the research objects. One of them is the experimental class and implements the "group and cooperative learning" teaching method; the other is the control class and maintains the "traditional telling" teaching method. After comprehensive analysis of data such as pre-test and post-test, the following research results are obtained. 1.Group cooperative learning can significantly improve the learning effect of the unit of 「how to solve the problems」 for the sixth grade students. 2.
