  • 描述: 在父權社會所建構的文化裡,女性與生育間的等號是無庸置疑的,但在女性主義與社會風氣開放的推波助瀾下,沒有生育子女的女性已被看見與替自己發聲,也已有許多研究以她們為主題。本研究的主角為六位年滿31歲未生育的國小女性育齡教師,以質性研究探討她們對於生育、教養的看法及身處職場時的因應之道。 本研究發現,國小女性教師的工作內容與背負的形象與母職的相似度極高,進而形成「教師職業母職化」一現象,而女性教師未生育的身份仍受到校園中傳統父權體制的批判,未生育的女性教師除了常被指派額外的職務外,還必須面對來自同事、家長及學生的「催生」,大部份的教師不主動提及自身的無子現況也不正面回應相關話題,未生育在校園間仍是一件「只能做、不能說」的隱諱之事。 此外,儘管國小女性育齡教師對外聲稱因為自己的經濟能力不足、對教養的高度期待與時間無法自由運用等因素而影響生育意願,但對母職抱有完美且理想的形象、深怕自己無法勝任母職及必須面對來自大眾的批判才是真正讓她們對生育卻步的主因。
    In the culture constructed by the patriarchal society, the equal sign between women and childbearing is unquestionable. With the help of feminism and the openness of the social atmosphere, women without children have been seen and voiced for themselves. They have been the subject of many studies. The main of this study are six childbearing-age female elementary school teachers who are more than 31 years old and have no children. A qualitative research is conducted to explore their views on childbearing, parenting, and workplace coping strategies. This study found that the work content and image of female teachers in elementary schools are very similar to mothering and motherhood, which leads to the phenomenon of "motherly teaching” or “like a mother when the female teachers working in schools". And the phenomenon of child-bearing age female teachers not having children is still criticized by the traditional patriarchal system on campus. In addition to being often assigned additional positions because they do not need to take care of their children, these teachers must face the " encouragement " from colleagues, parents and students. Most teachers do not take the initiative to mention their childlessness status or respond positively to related topics. Infertility is still “only do but can't say” on campus. Although childbearing-age female elementary school teachers claim that their willingness to bear children is affected by factors such as lack of financial ability, high expectations for parenting, and inability to use time freely, having a perfect and ideal image of mothering and motherhood, being afraid that they will not be able to do so and facing criticism from the public are what really hold them back from having children.
