  • 描述: 本研究之目的為發展圖像提示策略,並使用該策略進行地震概念之教學。為探究學生的學習成效與態度,本研究採用準實驗研究法,對南部某國小低年級學童2個班級,共58名學生進行教學實驗,其中一個班級之29名學生分派到圖像提示策略組(實驗組),另一班之29名學生分派到傳統講述式教學策略組(控制組)。資料分析以共變數分析(ANCOVA)、單一樣本t考驗、獨立樣本t考驗與描述性統計來探索不同策略對受試者在學習地震概念之成效,與態度問卷調查上的差異情形,經過分析發現:(1)學習者呈現顯著的學習成效;(2)學習者對圖像提示策略的教學法,表示相當滿意與正面肯定的態度;(3)學習者經實驗教學後,其心像繪圖呈現顯著的成效。本研究意味著運用圖像提示策略的學習方法,配合多媒體動畫光碟輔助釐清地震概念,佐以體驗活動的教學活動,確實有助於提昇學習成效。研究者並依據研究結果,對圖像提示策略應用於國小自然科教學之以及未來研究者提出建議。
    The purpose of this study intends to develop an image prompting strategy, and to apply the strategy to teach earthquake concepts. To explore students’ learning performance and attitude, researcher conducted a teaching experiment involving 58 students from two lower-grade classes of an elementary school in the southern area of Taiwan, using a quasi-experimental research method. Of the 58 participants, 29 were assigned to a group practicing the image prompting strategy (experimental group), while the other 29 were assigned to a group practicing traditional teaching strategy with lectures (control group). For data analysis, covariate analysis (ANCOVA), single sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and descriptive statistics are employed to examine the effect of different (teaching) strategies on the participants’ learning of earthquake concepts, and to analyze the differences reflected in the attitude questionnaire. The findings suggest: (1) the strategy had a significant effect on the students’ learning performance; (2) the learners showed considerable satisfaction and positive attitude towards the teaching method using the image prompting strategy; (3) the teaching experiment had a significant effect on the mental mapping of the learners. The results of this study indicate that a teaching method using the image prompting strategy, along with multimedia animation for illustrating earthquake concepts, plus experiential learning activities, can indeed help to enhance the students’ learning performance. Furthermore, based on the results, researchers come up with recommendations for future studies on the use of image prompting strategy for teaching natural science in elementary schools.
