在自然環境裡學習自然,是近代自然環境或生態學的主要思潮,本研究從觀察參加自然活動的兒童反應,探討體驗自然活動對提昇兒童欣賞自然能力的重要性。本研究採質性研究,對象是研究者服務任教學校的四年級學童。在進行體驗自然活動前,研究者先從兒童的筆記中了解兒童對自然的認識,並且請參加研究之兒童圈選校園自然環境區域,做為體驗自然的場所。然後,由研究者運用柯內爾的「流水學習法」為主軸,設計校園體驗自然活動。再從實際的體驗自然活動中,蒐集兒童的各種資料。最後從這些資料中,探討體驗自然活動對兒童欣賞自然的影響。從研究歷程中,兒童的「自然」概念可以清楚的分為具體概念和抽象概念兩類,但是以具體概念為主。兒童運用五官體驗自然和欣賞自然的時候以眼睛的視覺體驗最多,其次是聽覺、觸覺及嗅覺。經過體驗自然活動的引導後,兒童不但在運用五官體驗自然與欣賞自然的能力進步了,同時對動植物的生態和自然的知識也有所增加。更重要的是,由於兒童在欣賞自然時獲得了釵h的情意感受,因而更喜歡親近大自然。但是,除了體驗自然活動,對兒童欣賞自然產生影響外,還有多樣化的自然生態環境、兒童的個人特質和兒童的生活經驗,這些都會對兒童欣賞自然產生一定的影響。
Learning nature in the nature environment is the major thought in recent natural ecology. This study is to investigate the importance of the promoting the ability of children’s nature appreciation by the observation of children’s response of nature awareness. The research method is by qualitive study, and research object is one fourth-grade class at the researcher’s currently teaching elementary school. Before applying the activities of nature awareness, the reach first understand the children’s knowledge about nature through their note, and let the children countdown the schoolyard natural environment regions as the place to experience nature. Then the researcher opply the Cornell’s Flow Learning. Method as major method, and design the school nature awareness activities. Collect all related information on children via practical nature awareness activities. Finally, investigate the impact of the nature awareness on children’s nature appreciation by the research data.In the process of research, the children’s concept of nature can be clearly divided into two parts, concrete and abstract concepts, and the concrete concept is the major. When children experience and appreciate nature by five senses, the mostly is through sight, and then by hearing, touching and smelling. After a guide to the nature awareness activities, the children not only promote the ability of nature awareness by five senses and nature appreciation, but also increase in their knowledge of ecosystem of animals, plants and the whole nature. Most importantly, children had obtained the affection towards nature during nature apprecition activities, and are more interested in getting close to nature. In addition to nature awareness activities, a variety in ecological environment, children’s personalities and life experience will all affect children’s nature appreciation.
