  • 描述: Foreign language teaching materials are the products and representation of one or many teaching methodologies. The paper analyzed the contents and composing units of more than twenty French teaching materials in China and France on four levels from the perspective of the structure, aiming at finding the similarities and differences in language teaching methodologies between the two countries. The findings are: (1) the teaching materials reflect the conflict between two major teaching methodologies- structuralism and communicalism; (2) Compared to the flexibility of their Chinese counterparts, French writers showed high fidelity in implementing certain teaching methodology in compiling the materials.
